Fredrick James Werstlein, 75, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019, at Moses Cone Hospital.

Born April 28, 1943, in Forsyth County, he was a son of the late John Fredrick Werstlein and the late Fidelis Marie Zender Werstlein. Mr. Werstlein was a US Army veteran, attended East Carolina University, and was a retired insurance adjuster. He attended Jamestown Presbyterian Church and was very active in his church and in his community.

Mr. Werstlein is survived by his wife Pamela Odham Werstlein; son, Scott Patrick Werstlein and wife Ava of Wilmington; daughter, Wendy Wrenn Werstlein of Floyd, Virginia; brother, Bob Werstlein and wife Gail of Durham; and grandson, Callen Whalen Werstlein.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 27, 2019, Jamestown Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jay Smith officiating.

A reception will follow the service.
