Kernersville

Frederick Clark Holman Cutting, 78, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at the Hospice Home of High Point, North Carolina due to a lengthy battle with cancer.

Fred was born April 20, 1938, in Barbados, West Indies to Phillip and Lillian (Grant) Cutting.

In the early 1960's Fred relocated to the United States, he met Evelyn affectionately known as Latheia and they were married January 16, 1974.

Fred worked for Stroehmann’s Bakery for 30 years but had to retire due to an on the job injury.

He loved sports especially baseball and boxing, he loved working in his vegetable garden where he grew cucumbers, okra and tomatoes, he shared his love for music with everyone, he was an avid shopper, played Solitaire and travelled abroad.  Fred loved to prepare food that showed his Caribbean culinary skills.

Fred and Evelyn moved from Amityville, New York, September 10, 2001 and settled in Kernersville, North Carolina.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents Phil and Lillian Cutting; his brother Richard Cutting and his sister Dorelle Chettenham.

Fred is survived by his wife Evelyn of Kernersville, NC; his son Adrian Cutting of Brooklyn, New York; his daughter Dorelle Cutting of Brooklyn, New York, his step-daughters, Caryn (Edward) Bush, LaVern Lamb and Chari Cruickson of Greensboro, North Carolina; 5 grandchildren Anthony, Andre’, William, Wayne and LaTanya, 13 great-grandchildren; his brothers Leroy Grant, Phil Cutting, Joe Cutting, Clyde Cutting; his sisters Jocelyn Beckford and Gloria Cutting; a host of other family members and friends.

The family of the late Frederick Cutting wish to express sincere thanks and their deepest appreciation to all, for your acts of kindness extended to us in our time of sorrow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Home of High Point, North Carolina , 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.

The family wishes to spend time together in quiet reflection after the memorial service.
