Frances Roberta Smith, 54, of High Point, formerly of Roanoke, Virgina, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Hospice Home at High Point.
Born July 26, 1970, in Roanoke, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Ray Charles Smith and the late Bessie Mae Jones Smith. Frances was a housekeeper at the Residence Inn in Roanoke, where she was loved by her coworkers. She was very compassionate and would go out of her way to help anyone. Frances was loved by her family, and she made their hearts bigger.
She is survived by her siblings, Donna Farrar, Robert Lee, James Tinsley, and Cynthia Frazier; nephews, Donshaye Frazier, Alif Hill, Jr., DaSean James Hill, Jamar McNear, David Matthews, and Lacy Graves; nieces, Deanna Johnson, Shannon Mosley, Sheree Duncan, and Monica Lee; sister-in-law, Dawn Tinsley; brother-in-law, Theo Farrar; best friends, Kim and Josh Phillips and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Alfred Lee, and Herman Miller Lee; and sister, Margaret Elizabeth Bannister.
No services are planned at Frances’ request.
