Flisha Rose Neeves, 38, of Lexington, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, June 6, 2025. Born and raised in Thomasville, Flisha carried the love of family in everything she did. She was radiant. Her captivating and contagious laughter filled the room. She was the rock of our family, endlessly thoughtful and deeply loving. She was happiest when surrounded by the people she loved. Flisha was the kind of person who thought of everyone else first. She showed up. She gave. She listened. And somehow, she made each of us feel like we were her favorite.
Flisha was a breast cancer survivor who faced her diagnosis with courage, grace, and humor. Though cancer robbed her of the ability to carry a child, she never gave up on her dream of becoming a mother. She was just one month away from beginning a surrogacy journey that would have fulfilled the role she longed for most. She would have been the best mother in the world. Flisha gave of herself completely. She loved fully and never hesitated to be there for others. The kindest person you could ever meet, she made those around her better simply by being who she was.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Timothy Neeves. Their love truly was like none other, full of laughter and devotion. She is also survived by her mother and father, Angie and Darren Whitehead; her siblings, Ryan Rose, Joshua Whitehead, and Shania Whitehead; her nieces, Claudia and Lila Neeves, Everlee and Avery Rose, Kylie Whitehead, and Camille Campbell; her nephew, Hayden Whitehead; her grandmothers, Mary Wall, Barbara Whitehead, and Linda Suggs; her mother-in-law and father-and-law, Susan and Danny Neeves; her sister-in-law, Brittany Rose; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sara and Jeff Campbell; her brother-in-law, Adam Neeves. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ken Wall Sr. and Robert Lee Whitehead.
We are shattered by her loss. There are no words for the pain we feel in her absence and no map for the life ahead. But Flisha would want us to hold each other up, keep going, and love big. Just like she did. Although the pain of losing her is immense, the love and laughter she gave remains with us. It always will.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, June 14, at 2 PM at Thomasville Christian Fellowship.
Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point is in charge of arrangements.
