Evelyn Maynor Clampitt

Evelyn Maynor Clampitt, 75, of Archdale, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Moses Cone Hospital.

Born March 20, 1946, in Coal Mountain, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Ray Maynor and the late Edith Morgan Maynor. Mrs. Clampitt was a childcare worker and a member of Gospel Way Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Vance Clampitt of the home; son, Victor Clampitt and wife Donna of Thomasville; daughter, Tabitha Mitchell and husband Tim of Archdale; grandchildren, Tia Grant, Crystal Clampitt, Natalie Smith, Rachel Dhionis, Derek Mitchell, and Erica Manns; great-grandchildren, Noah, Bentley, Savannah, Hailey, Mason, Addy, J.J., Ethan, and Gavin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Clampitt.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 9, 2021, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service.
