Eulah Lanier Petty, 66, of High Point passed away unexpectantly on Tuesday, September 16th at Novant Medical Center in Kernersville after a brief illness.
Born on December 10, 1958, Eulah was the daughter of the late Cora Lee Lanier and Ferdinand Franklin Wilson. She grew up in Lexington, North Carolina, graduating in 1977 from Lexington Senior High School. She attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Davidson County Community College and High Point University, all with an interest in Engineering. For 14 years, she worked as an Electronics Technician at Qorvo in Greensboro, North Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant twin, Beulah Mae, her husband, Gregory Petty and her brother, Sidney Lanier. Left to cherish her memories is her devoted son, Franklin Lanier and his wife, Dottie Boone Lanier, a brother, Clayton Lanier and his wife Kathy, a sister, Tonya Lanier and her husband, Robert Freeman. Six grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Nana”, Bryanna, Gabriel, Madison, Adam, Titus and Simeon. Nephews, Tavon Lanier, Corey Hargrave, Drake Lanier Powell, Sidney Lanier, Jr., Noah Lanier, and Wilson Lanier, will miss their Auntie immensely! Nieces, Claybriell Lanier and Maria Lanier; great niece, Harper Lanier and great-nephew, Donovan Lanier also meant much to her. A step-daughter, Tomeka (Kenneth, Jr) Harris, brother-in-law, Ivey Petty, Jr and sisters-in-law, Vinnie Garland and Carolyn Jordan.There will be many cousins and friends who will miss Eulah dearly.
Celebration of Life will be 3:00-5:00PM Saturday, September 20, 2025 at the home of Tonya & Robert; 710 Burgess Street, Lexington, NC 27292
Memorial Service will be 2:00PM Sunday, September 21, 2025, in the Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point chapel.
