Ethelyn Iola Stafford

On August 21, 2021, Ethelyn Stafford passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 79 years old. A lifelong High Point native, Ethelyn was well-loved in her city. Awesome mother of 4 children. Despite her large family Ethelyn always made time for everyone. She always provided support and love for her family dearly. She was very gentle & her love shined bright & lit up any room. Very vibrant, loved to dance, travel, cook and drew beautiful artworks. She would proudly boast about all four of her grandchildren.

Ethelyn was predeceased by her brother Fred Stafford Jr, sister Valeria Baker, and her son Ronnie Stafford.

She is survived by a brother Jonny Jett; her three sons Japheth, Kenneth, and Jonathan Stafford; four grandchildren, LeKeshia Bines; LaKeisha, Marquette and Marquice Stafford; one great-grandchild; and two nieces Chan Baker and Ashanti Abikoye.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, August 30, 2021, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations. Burial will follow in Carolina Biblical Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service.
