Eric Nelson Farmer, 35, of Winston-Salem, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Born July 17, 1980 in Guilford County, he was the son of Edward Nelson Farmer and Elizabeth Childs Farmer. Mr. Farmer was a veteran in the US Army Reserves and employed with Quality Industrial Electronics. He was a member of Samaritan Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of nine years, Amanda Kerr Farmer of the home; sister, Anita White and husband Aaron of Thomasville; niece and nephew, Rachel and Noah White.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Samaritan Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Smith officiating. Interment will be at Salisbury National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM Saturday at Samaritan Baptist Church, 4800 Reid Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27107.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to his wife Amanda.
