Eric Lee Clinard

Eric Lee Phillips Clinard, 54, of Davidson County, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 29, 2024, while holding the hand of his loving companion, Teresa Beck.

Born on November 6, 1969, Eric was the son of Joe Crayton Clinard, Jr. and Connie Darlene Beck.

Known for his sociable nature and humor, he was affectionately dubbed the “mayor of High Point".  Eric's passion for music was evident from a young age when he began playing the drums. Throughout his life, he played in several successful bands, including Groove Thing and The Brat Pack, which brought him much joy and camaraderie in the music community.

Eric also had a knack for sales, having worked successfully in various roles, from managing his father’s swimwear business, Aqua, to working at FastSigns. His charismatic personality made him a natural at forming lasting relationships.

A lover of animals and an adoring father, Eric’s greatest joy was his daughter, Natalie Clinard.  She was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment with her.

Eric is also survived by his brothers, Adam Myers of Randleman and Cory Clinard of Thomasville.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at High Point Chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations, with a gathering to follow. Donations in his memory can be made to the Humane Society of the Piedmont.
