Eric Scott Brown, Sr., 57, of Randleman, North Carolina passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 in High Point, North Carolina.
Eric was born in Prince George’s County, Maryland to Thomas Eugene Brown and Gladys Brown on May 15, 1962. He graduated from Tabb High School in Yorktown, Virginia. He married Doris Marie Ingle on March 1, 1985. Eric was a hard worker and worked as a stocker for Wal-Mart for the last 15 years. He was also a master wood burner that he enjoyed as a hobby. Eric was of the Christian faith and attended Bethany Baptist Church in Thomasville, North Carolina. Family was the most important thing to Eric, and he enjoyed spending time with them and especially loved taking care of his grandchildren. He enjoyed reading the newspaper and completing the crosswords. One thing he truly enjoyed with his late wife was shopping for a good deal and finding the best sales.
In addition to his loving wife, Doris, Eric was preceded in death by his father Thomas Eugene Brown and mother Gladys White.
Eric is survived by his children Eric Scott Brown, Jr and wife Amanda and Katie Mae Hoover; son James William Ivie, III; daughters Lori Hogan, and Patricia Richardson; stepmother, Brenda Brown; grandchildren: Miya Preslee Bass, Chan Kibo Jenkins, Isabella Kay Brown, Lincoln Scott Brown, Oliva Grace Allcock, Justin Callicutt, W. Scott Callahan, Karissa Carpenter, Gabrielle Kellison, Rikki Marks, Austin Benfield, Rebecca Pitts, and James David Ivie; and 9 Great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 3rd at Guil-Rand Funeral and Cremation in the New Beginnings Chapel at 227 Trindale Road, Archdale, North Carolina at 6:00pm with Pastor Tom Fields, of Bethany Baptist Church, officiating.
