Edwin Gray Jones, 66, of Carroll St., passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born January 31, 1950 in Tampa, FL, he was a son of the late Edwin “Bud” Montezuma Jones and the late Sandra Anderson Jones. Mr. Jones was a US Army veteran and was a self-employed building contractor. He owned and operated Mountain Joy Cottages in Maggie Valley, attended Chosen Generation Church and was a part of Bobbi Johnson Ministries.

He is survived by his wife Oenita Blair Jones of the home; sons, Matthew Jones and wife Kimberly of Seattle, WA and Michael Jones of Asheville; daughter, Kimberly Jones of Maggie Valley; step-son, Donald Blair of South Africa; brother, Andy Jones and wife Liz of Texas; granddaughter, Kyla Jones; and his former wife Martha Kelley Jones of Maggie Valley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Jones.

In lieu of a funeral, Ed preferred to have a celebration of his life festival. It will be Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 11:00 PM at Donna Hill and Gene Hutchins Recording Studio, 2864 Hover Hill Rd., Trinity, NC.
