Dwane W. Wood

Dwane W. Wood, 61, of High Point, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at High Point Medical Center.

Born May 29, 1960, in Fort Dix, New Jersey, he was a son of Carrol Wood (Inge) of Kansas and Vickie Vincent Marlow of Kentucky. Dwane was a US Air Force veteran and worked for the Guilford County Sheriff’s Department for twenty years. He was employed with Sunstates Security.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Beverly Weeman Wood of the home; children, Shaun Wood and wife Alissea of Kansas, Christopher Wood of Kansas, Talissa Madrigal and husband Aaron of Kansas, Amber Wood of Trinity, and Justin Wood of Lexington; brother, John Wood of Kentucky; sister, Tammy King and husband Michael of Kentucky; and grandson, Tanner Ashley.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Wright Funerals-Cremations.
