Wade Douglas Fagge, Jr. passed into eternal life on February 17, 2026, at High Point Regional Hospital.

He was born in Rockingham County, NC, on July 1, 1941, to Wade and Virginia Barnes Fagge.

Doug attended Stoneville schools, was active in baseball and basketball as well as driving a school bus and helping raise tobacco crops in the summer.

He graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1968 with a business degree which led him into financial advising for his entire career until 2021 when he retired from Wells Fargo Advisors.

Doug was predeceased by his son, Jason Douglas Fagge.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Victoria (Vicki) Barrett Fagge, son, Justin (Amanda) Fagge; granddaughters, Emerson Ann Fagge and Ellie Elizabeth Fagge; brothers, Dennis Fagge (Wanda) and Lee Smith; one nephew, James (Caroline) Fagge;and two nieces; and many special friends.

Doug has been an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church since moving to High Point in 1963. He has served in many roles and was a member of the Knight of Columbus.

Doug’s priorities have always been his God and church, his family, friends, community, and career. He especially enjoyed working and relaxing on his farm “at the end of the road” and hearing whippoorwills at dusk.

His good influence on the world will long be remembered as he enters his eternal home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, February 27, 2026, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Father Pat Hoare officiating.
