Dot Byerly

Dorothy “Dot” Elmore Byerly, 93, resident of River Landing, passed away July 31, 2021.

Dot was born in Casar, North Carolina, the daughter of Mattie Lee and Vivian O’Donald Elmore and sister to Andrew Marvin Elmore.  She attended High Point University where she met her husband of 74 years, William “Jack” Byerly, Jr.  Dot was a life-long High Point resident whose many interest included; her family, golf, cooking, sewing, painting and sharing her flowers with beloved friends.

Dot is survived by her husband Jack; son Steve (Ann) Byerly; and daughter Kathy (Jay) White.  She was a cherished grandmother to Davis (Kendal) Byerly, Ian (Elizabeth) White, Kristin (Nick) Cocklin, Brandon (Missy) White and a adored GG to Tyler, Harper, Court, Sloan, Kensley, Lou and McKenna.

A family memorial service will be held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
