Dora Christine Inman Slack, 88, of High Point, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Hospice Home at High Point.
Born April 18, 1937, in Bonnie Blue, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late William Lawrence Inman and the late Joie Hazel Smith Inman. Dora was a retired certified nursing assistant and retired teacher’s assistant. She was a member of Cloverdale Church of God.
Dora is survived by her children, Bill Maiden and wife Becky of Pennsylvania, Sally Bassett and husband Mark of Thomasville, Johnny Maiden of High Point, Julie Long and husband Ron of High Point, Raymond Maiden and wife Rose of Thomasville, Dora Christine Turner and husband Mike of Thomasville, and George Maiden of High Point; brother, Chester Inman of Florida; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Slack; children, Lewis Maiden, Brenda Hodge and Beverly Pacheco; and brother, Raymond Inman.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, January 30, 2026, at Cloverdale Church of God with Rev. David Perry and Ron Long officiating. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park next week.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
