Donnie Hardin, Sr.

Donald Craig Hardin, Sr., 63, of Greensboro, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020, at Beacon Place Hospice.

Born April 1, 1957, in Guilford County, he was a son of Frankie Parrish Pelletier (Ira) of Kernersville and the late Christopher Eugene Hardin, Sr. Donnie was formerly employed with Roadway Trucking, and  Upstaging Inc. Concert tours and had various other jobs before becoming disabled. He enjoyed scuba diving, working on cars and helping those less fortunate. Donnie was always a comical jokester because he was born on April Fools’ Day. He was a member of Mount Olive Church in King.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Donnie Hardin, Jr.; daughter, Carrie Stewart (Brad McNeil) of Ocean Isle; brothers, C.E. Hardin, Jr. (Myrtle) of Sophia, Robert Hardin (Cindy) of Wallburg; Randall Hardin (Amanda) of Thomasville; sister, Muriel Campbell of Archdale; and six grandchildren, Kathryn, Carsen,  Max, River Koa, and Jett; former wife, Jill Ashby Hardin; and special friend Judith Trogdon.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Mazzlyn McNeill.

Services will be at a later date.
