Donnie Lee Barnes, Sr
Donnie Lee Barnes, Sr., 66, of High Point, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Hospice Home of High Point.
Born January 18, 1960, in High Point, he was a son of the late Thel Hooks Barnes, and the late Ola Mae Strcikland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Tammy Sue Heath Barnes in 2010, and Ellen Marie Tucker Barnes in 2024.
He is survived by his son, Donnie Lee Barnes, Jr. and wife Christy; daughter, Penny Lynn Atkins and husband Steve; grandchildren, Alexa Barnes, Bentlee Barnes, Kaylee Barnes, Tiffany Stevens, and Cody Custard; brother, Ricky Barnes and wife Melanie; sisters, Linda Muse, Patsy Barnes, and Kathy Parrish, along with several nieces and nephews.
No formal services are planned.
