Donald Ney

Donald Jan Ney, 84, of Archdale, passed away Monday, October 19, 2026, at Randolph County Hospice House.

Born March 13, 1942, in Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late John Robert Ney, Sr. and the late Abbie Ellen Kreiser Ney. Don spent most of his working years in textiles but he also enjoyed watching the races. Fishing was his favorite hobby.

On June 29, 1967, he married Stella May Paugh Ney who survives of the home; also surviving are his sons, Timothy Jan Ney of the home and Donald Paul Ney and wife Brittney of Colfax; stepdaughter, Dolores Moss of Seagrove; grandchildren, Heather Moss of Seagrove and Conner Ney of Colfax; special nieces, Sandra Resko (Lou) of Little River, SC and Pat Farrell (Shaun) Harleysville, PA; several other nieces and nephews all around the states; and his special “Little Girl” Venus, his favorite companion.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Jack, Karl, Cary and Leonard Ney.

No formal services are planned at this time.
