Donald Lee Chorpening

Donald Lee Chorpening, 75, of High Point, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Hospice Home of High Point.

Born March 2, 1950, in Sanford, Florida; he was son to the late Carl Edward Chorpening, Jr., and the late Lila Frances Garrison.

Donald was a Fireman and EMT from the Seminole County, Florida, and was a Fire Protection Chief for International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He retired from the NCDOT as a Safety Inspector.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Divina Guzman Chorpening; sons Matthew Chorpening and Cliff Chorpening; brother Glenn Chorpening (Kathy) and sister Susan Solheim.

Service will be 11:00AM Thursday, April 17, 2025, in the Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point Chapel.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the Free Union Church of the Brethren, Free Union, VA.
