Don Hoover

Donald Wayne Hoover, 75, of High Point, passed away with his wife and children by his side Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born February 14, 1946, in Guilford County, he was a son of the late Greer Hoover and the late Pauline Peay Hoover. Don was a US Air Force Captain, was a graduate of North Carolina State University, and was a retired electrical engineer. He attended Green Street Baptist Church.

Don is survived by his wife Janice Wise Hoover of the home; son, Jonathan Kane Hoover of Greensboro; daughter, Jennifer Hoover McElory of Durham, sister, LaGreer Hoover Randolph of Nebraska; and grandson, Logan Compton McElroy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Compton Hoover.

Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Saturday, October 2, 2021, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations.

The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Green Street Baptist Church Children’s Camp Fund or Boy and Girls Club of Eden.
