Dick Jones, Sr.

Richard (Dick) Eugene Jones, Sr., 80, of High Point, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Born July 8, 1941, in Mt Vernon, Illinois, he was the son of the late Edward Everette Jones and the late Doris Mae Cato Jones. Dick was a US Navy veteran and was a retired supervisor with Sears. He was a member of the former Lexington Avenue Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Nicholson Jones of the home; son, Richard (Richy) Eugene Jones, Jr. and wife Teresa of Archdale, and Coy Edward (Eddie) Jones and wife Sheree of Thomasville; grandchildren, Megan Alford and husband Brandon, Tripp Jones and wife Heather, Claudia Barnard and husband Neil, and Sydney Wood and husband Phillip; great-grandchildren, Aiden Alford, Calleigh Jones, Travis Jones, Esther Barnard, Evelyn Barnard, John Barnard, and Ruby Wood.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Lindsay Jones and Victoria Jones.

Memorial services will be conducted at 6:00 PM Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point with Rev. C.W. Moss officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
