Diane Martin McGhee, 74, of High Point, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Camden Place Health and Rehab.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Matthews and son-in-law Scott Matthews of North Port, Florida; son, John (Jay) L. McGhee III and daughter-in-law Ronda Cranford McGhee of Greensboro, NC.

She was born in Martinsville, VA, July 4, 1943, to the late Ona Woolwine Martin and Rush Starling Martin. A loving mother, Diane was a member of Green Street Baptist Church.  She was a successful Sales Associate at JC Penney in Winston Salem, and greatly enjoyed playing tennis and bridge.  Upon moving to High Point in 1983, she was very active in the Newcomers Club’s charitable fund raising.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 28, 2018, in the Gathering Room of Wright Cremation & Funeral Service.

The family will receive friends following the service.
