Dennis Eugene Szentmariay, Sr., 81, of Sonoma Ln., passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born May 19, 1934 in Queens, NY, he was the son of the late Zoltan Eugene Szentmariay and the late Yolanda Eardy Szentmariay. Mr. Szentmariay was a retired funeral director in New York where he served families and the community for fifty-eight years. He retired from James Funeral Home in Massapequa, NY, and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Mr. Szentmariay is survived by his wife of thirty-nine years, Deeanne Testa Szentmariay of the home; son Dennis Szentmariay and wife Jackie of Thomasville; daughter, Debra Teves and husband John of Merrick, NY; grandchildren, Jessica, Katie, Anderson, Allie and Olivia.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in Floral Garden Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Monday at Wright Cremation & Funeral Service, 1726 Westchester Dr., High Point.
