Delores Marieta (Rosales) Cortez

Delores Marieta Cortez, 64, of Greensboro, NC, passed away on December 3, 2021 at Atrium Health in Charlotte.

Delores was born in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Illescas Marieta and Luis Rosales on December 12, 1956. She was married to her husband Gilberto Cortez for over 40 years. She loved music and orchid flowers. She was always the life of the party and loved to make people laugh. Her family and friends said that her laugh was one of a kind. She was a mother to many people and loved to help in anyway she could.

Delores is preceded in death by her mother Illescas Marieta and her father Luis Rasales.

Deloresis survived by her husband Gilberto Cortez, her daughter Michelle Betancourth husband Manuel, her son Steven Cortez, her sisters Norma Gomez and Maria Rosales DeVera, her grandson Gabriel Bentancourth, she also leaves behind a niece and two nephews.

The family will hold a private service at a later date.
