Dell (Prevatte) Campbell

Sharon “Dell” Prevatte Campbell, 78, formerly of 236 S. Mohawk Dr., High Point, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the home of her daughter.

Born November 24, 1946, in Robeson County, she was a daughter of the late Harry B. Prevatte and the late Eugenia Stubbs Atkinson. Dell retired from Thomasville Furniture with thirty-seven years of service, and worked for Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center as a data manager for ten years. She was a longtime member of Greenwood Hills Wesleyan Church.

Dell is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Campbell Taylor of Youngsville; brothers, Bayne Prevatte and wife Victoria, Darrell Atkinson, and Mark Atkinson; sister, Peggy Lawrence and husband Adam; grandchildren, Zachary Thomas Taylor and Reese Dell Taylor; nephews, Alex Prevatte, John Prevatte, and Tyler Lawrence.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Edward Campbell; stepfather, John Atkinson; son-in-law, John R. Taylor; and niece, Tara Atkinson.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Greenwood Hills Wesleyan Church with Rev. Vernon Smith and Rev. Chris Langham officiating.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM prior to the service at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Greenwood Hill Wesleyan Church or Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center.
