David Harrison Dotson

David Harrison “Mutt” Dotson, 53, of High Point, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021, at High Point Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born November 6, 1967, in Trenton, Michigan, he was a son of Linda Carol Fuller Dotson of High Point, and the late Ted Dotson. David was a graduate of Phelps High School in Phelps, Kentucky, and Mayo Technical School. He was a dedicated and loyal employee of Mannington Floors for thirty years where he was lead press operator. David valued family above all else and enjoyed spoiling his wife, momma, and sister-in-law. His time on earth was cut short, but he will always be remembered with love, as husband, son, brother, and friend.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of thirty years, Cathy Lynn McCoy Dotson of the home; stepfather, Joe Muse of High Point; brother, Jeffrey Dotson (Kim) of Kentucky; and sister, Deidra “Dee” Kring (Tony) of Florida.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harrison and Sadie Dotson, maternal grandparents, Lundy and Lillian Smith Fuller; and maternal great-grandparents, Richard and Daisy Smith.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, March 15, 2021, at Oakwood Cemetery Mausoleum with Rev. Pat Ray officiating.
