David Paul Byerly

David Paul Byerly, 85, of Sophia, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020, at High Point Medical Center.

Born September 4, 1935, in Guilford County, he was the son of the late Frederick Paul Byerly and the late Nannie Lucas Byerly. Mr. Byerly was a US Army veteran and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

He is survived by his son, David Byerly and wife Melinda of High Point, Mike Byerly and wife Cheryl of Trinity, daughter, Julie Nelson and husband Ron of Alabama; stepsons, Jeff Orcutt and wife Kris of Clemmons, and Greg Orcutt of Texas; sister, Lynda Lawrence of Hubert, NC; grandchildren, Nikki Royal and husband Mark, Brandon Byerly and wife Ivette, Lee Byerly, Jessie Grove, Caleb Byerly and wife Gladys, Mark Byerly and wife Jessica, Jonathan Byerly and wife Angela, Haley Welch and husband Mick, and Tyler Norwood; step-granddaughter, Nikki Orcutt; and eleven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held in January 2021.
