Daniel J. Mulcahy died at 5:40 a.m. on September 25, 2026, on a Chamber of Commerce Day in High Point, North Carolina, at 80 plus 2.

A husband, father of 2, grandfather to 1, brother to 3, and son of Nana & Pop Pop. He was family-oriented, a believer in higher education, wanted his children to have options, and was one hell of a bookkeeper.

He taught us to stand strong on our own two feet, to be fiscally mindful, and showed us quite a sense of humor.

A native New Yorker, who loved the Yankees, the Giants, Frank Sinatra, the shores of Cutchogue, and an ice-cold beer at the end of a long day.

Thank you, Dad, for the 1,000,000 miles you walked for us.

You will travel with us in the things you taught us, in the stories we tell, and in the phrases that will forever make us say,

“That was Dad—anything but ‘unremarkable.’”
