Clyde Eugene Dickens Jr.

Clyde Eugene Dickens Jr., 80, of Lexington, passed away on June 9, 2021 at Accordius Health of Lexington.

Clyde was born in Guilford County to Helen Marie Hedgecock Dickens and Clyde Eugene Dickens on July 26, 1940. Clyde was married to his beautiful wife Carolyn Dickens on December 31, 1993. He was retired from Lexington Furniture. He also served in the North Carolina National Guard from 1960 - 1963. He was proud to be a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. He loved his family and will truly be missed by many.

Clyde is preceded in death by his mother Helen Marie Hedgecock Dickens, his father Clyde Eugene Dickens Sr, his son Tim Nantz, his brothers Roy Dickens, Neale Dickens, Bobby Dickens, and Allen Dickens.

Clyde is survived by his wife Carolyn Dickens, his daughters Gloria Fields (Ronnie), Marie Holland (Dwayne), Kay Van Lear (Eddie), Martha West (Darrell), Diana Young (Lee), Linda Litaker (Mark), Denise Ackley (Tim), and Julie Haughton (Allen), his sisters Doris Boles, Carrie Baumhauer, and Wanda Alexander, his brother Charles Dickens (Kay), his grandchildren Chassidy, Kristina, Michael, Crystal, Melissa, Angie, Bryan, Epley, Catherine, Rebekah, Caleb, Christine, Matthew, Aaron, Carissa, Andrew, AJ, Molly, Megan, and Rachael, his great grandchildren Austin, Madison, Hannah, Olivia, Landyn, Cora, Noah, Melo, Skylar, Jaxon, Landyn, Luz, Selah, Lucas, Daphne, and Levi.

A visitation for the family will be held 10am on June 16, 2021 at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church located at 210 Cotton Grove Rd, Lexington, NC 27292. The Memorial service will be held immediately after at 11am.
