Christine Roberts Corn, 93, of High Point, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born March 14, 1924, in Stokes County, she was a daughter of the late Gerald Roberts and the late Mabel Berry Roberts. She graduated from Pine Hall High School and later earned her bachelor’s degree from Pembroke State College (now UNC Pembroke). She was a retired elementary school teacher, a member of the High Point Civitan Club, a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Honorary Teachers Sorority. Mrs. Corn was a faithful member of Green Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of seventy years, Dewey Corn of the home; daughters, Miriam Barkley (Timothy) of Greensboro, and Lynda Corn of High Point; sister, Winona McKague of High Point.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday, July 7, 2017, at Green Street Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Rynerson and Rev. Mark Loy officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 12:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
