Charles Robert Walker, 87, of Thomasville, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center.

Born September 23, 1938, in Thomasville; he was a son of the late Dr. Nathaniel Walker and the late Pauline Fuller Phillips Walker.

Charles married the former Joyce Ann Small on October 10, 1965, and they shared 60 years of a joyous marriage. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Green Street Baptist Church.

Survived by his wife Joyce Walker; daughter, Lisa Lackey and husband Scott of Leland; son, John Walker of Thomasville; grandchildren, Walker Lackey, Emily Lackey, Hunter Walker and wife Hannah, and Callie Walker and fiancé Ryan Skeen; great grandchildren, Wyatt Walker, Waylon Walker, Whitley Walker and Emery Kate Skeen.

Memorial Service will be 3:00PM Sunday, April 12, 2026, in the sanctuary of Green Street Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Jeff Dowdy and Rev. Jonathan Goodman officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
