Charles Lee Stewart, 80, of High Point, passed away December 21, 2018 at Westchester Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.

Born June 16, 1938, in Forsyth County, he was the son of the late Bernie Lee Stewart and the late Mary Henrietta McInnis Stewart. In addition to his parents, Charles was predeceased by his wife Mary Ellen Rhue Stewart.

He is survived by daughters, Lori Frasco of CO, Deana Price of GA, Deneane Taylor of GA; sons, Christopher of GA, Scott (Dave Davis) of TX, Eric (Alesha) of TX; step-daughters, Belinda Mathis (Charles) and Deborah Self; brother, Donald Stewart (Patsy) and sister, Peggy Stewart Harrison (Glenn) of NS, Canada; grandchildren, Anthony Frasco, Kristen Frasco, Mallory Simpson, Brandon Price (Amber), Sara Grizzle (Keith), Ashley Hansen and Trey Stewart; step-grandchildren, Travis Mathis, Erica Lictenberger and Nicole Mathis; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Katelynn, Trinity, Tristen, Payton and Faith; step-great grandchildren, Hailee, Bella, and Otto. In addition to nieces, nephews and others, he is survived by his first wife and mother of four of their children, Sharon Frasco of TX.

Charles began his career with the Burroughs Corporation and ended with a heating and air conditioning business where his ability to fix nearly anything was valuable. Playing football for Glenn High School in Winston-Salem gave him a lifelong interest in sports. He will be remembered and missed most for his love of people and the relationships he had with family, friends, clients, community and church friends and for his sense of humor. He was affiliated with both Friedland Moravian Church and Bunker Hill Primitive Baptist Church.

The family would like to offer special thanks to those who were able to spend the most time with Charles as his illness progressed:  son Christopher, step-daughters Belinda and Deborah as well as friends who visited so often, Larry Fagge, Garner Mahaffey and Benny Leonard.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Hilliard Memorial Baptist Church with Elder John Winfield. Burial will be in Friedland Moravian Church Graveyard.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
