Charles (Charlie) E. Morgan, Jr., 59, of Village Drive, died Saturday, March 10, 2018, at his home.

Charlie was born June 2, 1958, in High Point, the son of Charles Edward Morgan, Sr., and Mary Lee White Morgan.  A lifelong Trinity area resident, he was a graduate of Trinity High School and GTCC with an associate in drafting.  He was a member of Glenola Baptist Church and served in many capacities there through the years, including Sunday School teacher and deacon.   Charlie was a successful land surveyor and was owner of Charlie Morgan Surveying in Asheboro.

On December 29, 1984, Charlie married the former Pamela Ruth Ridge, who survives of the home.  In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by an infant son, Marshall.  Surviving in addition to his wife, Pam, are three children, Anthony Morgan and wife, Megan, of Greensboro; Rachel Harris and husband, Nathan, of Trinity; and Mary Beth Morgan of Jamestown.  Charlie was also the proud papaw of two grandchildren, Dawson Harris and Ellie Morgan.   Also surviving are two sisters, Annette Bowman & husband, Troy, of Trinity and Ginger Lynn Mathis and husband, Gray, of Emerald Isle, and several nieces and nephews.

Charlie was and IS a believer in the Lord Jesus and is now living within the City promised to all blood-bought believers.  While the family misses his presence here on earth, they rejoice with Charlie and the angels that he has finally arrived at his true home and looked into the eyes of his Redeemer.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Glenola Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Steen officiating.  A time of visitation with the family will be held following the service.
