Rev. Charles Ray Carter

Rev. Charles R. Carter, 92, of Winston Salem formally of High Point, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2024, at Arbor Acres.  He was a devoted husband, wonderful father and grandfather, and friend to many.

Born March 21, 1932, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Edward Carter and the late Thelma Hargett Carter.  Rev. Carter was the former pastor of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church in High Point.

He is survived by his wife Janice Bernice Wood Carter of Arbor Acres; daughter, Sami Price of High Point; daughter-in-law, Laura Carter of Vilas, NC; grandchildren, Carter Price, Carrie Price, August Carter, and Ellis Carter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Eban Carter.

Services are planned at a later date.
