Mrs. Catherine Hiatt Grayson, 92, died on July 19, 2018 at Westchester Manor.

Born July 8, 1926, she was the daughter of Rubin and Elma Anthony Hiatt.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Everette Monroe Grayson, Sr., one brother, four sisters, and son-in-law Rodney Layton.

Catherine grew up in High Point and was a member of Westchester Baptist Church, where she faithfully attended Sunday School and worship services as long as she was able.  She was an office manager and bookkeeper of Wagner Tire for fifty years.  She will be remembered as a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Catherine’s persona was humility but her love of family was fierce.  Her generosity was unmatched and her love always unconditional.  Her family was always her top priority and how she loved those Sunday visits!  She read her Bible daily and walked in the path of her Lord.

Surviving are her son, Everette Grayson, Jr and wife Pat; son Robert Grayson; daughter Kathy Layton; sister Carolyn Kirkman; nine grandchildren; Lesley Rosser (Pat); Meg Porter (Matt); Bo Grayson; Eric Grayson (Allison); Charlie Field (Matt); Ginger Grayson; Joe Layton; Ryan Layton; Jordan Layton; and eleven great grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be held at Floral Garden Park on Sunday July 22, 2018.
