On February 17, 2022, at the age of 83, Carol Fuller passed away peacefully with her children by her side at Pennybyrn Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late William Camp and the late Juanita Doenges Camp.
Carol is survived by her daughters, Nita Tarbush (David) of High Point, NC and Sarah Monroe (Todd) of Browns Summit, NC; grandchildren, Sydney Monroe of Browns Summit, NC and Mason Monroe of Mooresville, NC; and her cat, Rudy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Richard E. Fuller who passed away in November 2020.
Carol was a 3rd generation alumnus of The University of Oklahoma where she studied nutrition, dietetics and food service management. As a Registered Dietician, she spent most of her career at Hillcrest Medical Center, as the Head Dietician and later as the Director of Food Service.
Carol loved cooking and nature. She was a fabulous cook and had about a thousand cookbooks. If she wasn’t cooking or reading (a lot of times, cookbooks), she could be found tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She was also a bee keeper and enjoyed sharing honey with her family and neighbors. While living out in the country in the Bixby area, there was never a shortage of stray dogs and cats, whom she always welcomed into her home. She loved and cared for all of them.
Carol will be missed so very much by her family. There will be a day when we are together again Mama. “What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us. – Helen Keller”
