Carl Lee Mcmillian

Carl Lee McMillian, 92, of Fuquay Varina, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, March 5, 2022.

Born April 26, 1929, in Martinsville, Virginia, he was a son of the late Benny Brook McMillian and the late Lillian Donley McMillian. Carl was born during the Great Depression, a US Army veteran and retired from RJ Reynolds. He was a charter member of Faith Church since 1960 in Midway, NC.

Carl is survived by his son, Don McMillan (Lynette) of Fuquay Varina; daughter, Jean Denise Cashwell (Glyn) of Fuquay Varina; grandchildren, Amber Borders (Stephen), Holly Klich (Chris), Steven Long (Nicole), and Justin Long (Julia); great-grandchildren, McKenna, Emery, Harper, Kylie, Madeline, Wyatt, Davis Lee, Jackson and Grayson.  In addition to immediate family, we want to recognize his longtime neighbor, friend, and golfing buddy, Terry Mason, who Carl considered the brother he never had.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of forty-eight years, Jean Davis McMillian, second wife, Eleanor Gauldin McMillian, and his son-in-law, Michael Lee Long.

Carl loved his family, his cousins, his church family, friends and especially his golfing buddies.  It is often said Carl never met a stranger, or at least not one for long.  One grandchild once asked, "is there anyone Pawpaw doesn't know?"

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, 8 March at Faith Church.  Pastor Mike Gates, a long-time friend and pastor will be officiating. Entombment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM at Faith Church.
