Arthur Burl Cornell, 89, of High Point, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020, at Westchester Manor.

Born May 29, 1930, in Owensville, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Arthur Cornell and the late Gretchen Ashley Cornell. Mr. Cornell was a veteran of the US National Guard, retired from Alma Desk, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by a niece, Ruth Ann Lowery (Max) of Calhoun, LA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Fox Cornell; and brother, Donell Cornell.

The family would like to thank nurse Susanne for the love and care she took with Mr. Cornell.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Guilford Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. Erin Bowers officiating.
