Wayne Lewis “Buck” Johnson, 77, of Archdale, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018, at his home.

Born October 23, 1940, in Surry County, he was a son of the late Alexander L. Johnson and the late Ida Mae Emerson Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a retired truck driver with forty years of service.

He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Patricia Callahan Johnson of the home; sons, Richard Johnson of High Point, Jeff Johnson and wife Michele of High Point, and Scott Youngblood of Archdale; daughter, Jennifer Hazelwood and husband Clint of Archdale; brother, Bill Johnson and wife Ellen of Archdale; grandchildren, Britney, Jessica, Hannah, Brandon, and Magan; and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Sadie, Agnes, Harry, Wade, Jessie Irene, Faye, Floyd, Ellis, and Alexander,

Services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, or Hospice of the Piedmont.
