Brenda Saintsing Harris, 78, of High Point passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020. Brenda was born June 4, 1942 in Thomasville, NC, a daughter of Earl George and Fannie Baity Saintsing. She graduated from North Davidson High School and attended Ashmore Business College. She had a long career in both the banking and accounting fields. She retired from Duratex, N.A. in 2007.
Brenda was an active member of First United Methodist Church in High Point, where she joyfully served in many ways. She also enjoyed volunteering at Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem. She was an avid gardener and loved playing bridge with family and friends. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her four grandchildren.
Brenda felt very blessed to be part of a large and loving extended family. Surviving are two daughters, Ashley Harris Kirkman and husband Roman of Greensboro and Caroline Harris Davis and husband Rob of Mount Pleasant, SC. She was a doting grandmother to Bennett Ross Kirkman and Katherine Baity Kirkman and Claire Britton Davis and William Robert Davis. Brenda is also survived by three brothers and their wives, Tommy and Sandye Saintsing, Mike and Mary Saintsing, and Gordon and Linda Saintsing, all of Lexington, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Bethany United Church of Christ in Winston-Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to First United Methodist Church, 512 North Main Street, High Point, NC 27260 or The Parkinson's Foundation 200 SE 1st Street Suite 800 Miami, FL 33131.
