Bonnie (Smith) Sports

B onnie Smith Sports, 74, of High Point, North Carolina, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019.

Bonnie was born in High Point, North Carolina to Vernon Smith and Irene Thompson on January 9, 1945.  She was a resident of High Point her entire life and worked many years in the furniture industry.  She loved music and dancing, mostly shagging.  She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as her furry companions.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, Vernon John Smith and mother, Irene Hazel Thompson Collier of Stanton, Virginia.  She is also preceded in death by two sons: Bobby L. Lewallen and Terry D. Lewallen.

Bonnie is survived by two daughters: Sharon L. Moore of High Point and Diane Besosa of Thomasville; grandchildren: Timothy Driggers, Ronald Lewallen, Jamie Moore, Brandy Foster, and Michael Moore; and ten great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 15th at 11:00am at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery, 1730 West Rotary Drive, High Point with Pastor John Divine officiating.
