Bobby Wayne Hunt, 83, of Thomasville, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Born May 14, 1943, in Davidson County, he was a son to the late Ira Hunt and the late Pearl Willett Hunt. Bobby lived at High Rock Lake for twelve years before moving to Thomasville in the early 90’s. He was a self-employed upholsterer by trade who loved to crappie fish at High Rock Lake and Thomalex Lake. Bobby also loved to garden and watch NASCAR with his favorite driver being Chase Elliott. He was also a member of Hasty Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Nikki Hoskins Hunt of the home; daughters, Robin Hunt Walker (Dwayne) and Jennifer Hunt Hedrick (Ronnie); brother, Harold Hunt; grandchildren, Jessica Hedrick and Joshua Walker; sister-in-law Linda Howard (Donnie); and nephew Chris Howard (Debbie).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Odel Hunt and sisters, Edith and Francis; father and mother-in-law, Esau and Louise Hoskins.

Family and friends will gather at the home of Nikki Hunt; 330 Hasty School Rd, Thomasville, NC; on July 25th at 12:00pm.

In lieu of flowers donate to The Heroes Center; 1500 Bridges Dr, High Point, NC 27262 or to Davidson County Animal Shelter; 490 Glendale Rd., Lexington, NC 27292.
