Bob Mabe

James Robert “Bob” Mabe, 87, of Sophia, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the GrayBrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born February 21, 1938, in Davie County, he was a son of the late Charles Harding Abner Mabe and the late Mae Dwiggins Mabe. Bob was a member of Allendale Batist Church and served faithfully in the United States Army, where he retired after 20 years of service.

Left to cherish his memory; his beloved wife, Anna Deese Mabe; children, Geoffrey Robert Mabe and wife Angela, Johnny Davis and wife Sabra, Tom Davis and wife Anita, Tootsie Williams and husband Robbie, Lavonne Johnson and husband Greg, and Beth Williams; brothers, David Mabe, George Mabe (Dot), and Lawrence Mabe (Ann); 14 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Allen Mabe, and 2 grandchildren, Joseph Davis and Natasha Davis.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in the sanctuary of Allendale Baptist Church with the Reverend David Younger and Rev. Geoffrey Mabe officiating. Burial will follow in the Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Wright Funerals-Cremations, High Point.
