Billy George Jones

Billy George Jones, 96, of Archdale, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Westchester Harbour.

Born March 4, 1928, in Guilford County, he was the son of the late George Jones and the late Lilly Cook Jones.  Billy retired from the City of Greensboro as an electrician in heating and air.  He loved to fish and was known to be able to fix anything.  Billy was a member of Lexington Avenue Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, usher, and member of the house and grounds committee. He later attended Garrell Street Baptist Church.  He was married to Nannie Jones for seventy eight years, who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Delores J. Fowler (Robert) of High Point and Debbie J. Beck (Gary) of Thomasville; grandchildren, Chad Gleason, Erica Gleason Coakley, Dylan Williams (Leanne); and great grandchildren, Graelyn Coakley, Graham Coakley, and Sydney Williams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jones Gleason Morgan, one brother and two sisters.

A Private Service will be held at a later date.
