Billy Ray Brookshire, 59, of Glenview Rd., passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at his home.

Born September 19, 1956 in Guilford County, he was a son of Ray Brookshire and Peggy Wallace Brookshire. Mr. Brookshire was a furniture components supervisor with Leggett & Platt and was a member of Trinity Heights Wesleyan Church. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his family very much, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Susan Webster Brookshire of the home; son, Robert Brookshire and wife Andrea of Trinity; daughters, Melissa Taylor and Ashley Brookshire both of Thomasville; brother, Jeff Brookshire of High Point; sister, Susan Robertson and husband Randy of High Point; grandchildren, Slayter Brookshire, Carolina Taylor, Jordan Taylor and Avery Taylor; his canine companion, Jerry Lee and cat, Midnight; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Terry Brookshire.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Trinity Heights Wesleyan Church with Rev. Crawford Crenshaw officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
