Betty Jean (Joyner) Stroud

Betty Jean Joyner Stroud, 80, of High Point, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Hospice Home at High Point.

Born April 3, 1941, in Wilson County, she was the sixth of nine children born to the late Clyde Joyner and the late Fannie Wilson Joyner. Betty loved to bowl, play cards and dining out.

She is survived by her sons, James Neill Weaver, Jr. and wife Kristen of Greensboro, and Joseph Alvin Weaver of High Point; daughter, Lisa Kaler and husband Steve of Greensboro; brother, Rev. Elmer Joyner and wife Becky of Graham, and Kaney M. Joyner of High Point; sister, Evelyn J. Joyner of High Point; grandchildren, Michael Brummett, Crystal Shipwash, Parker Stanley, Cash Stanley, and Jonathan Weaver; great-grandchildren, Sierra Shipwash, and Brayden Brummett.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 14, 2021, in the chapel of Wright Funerals-Cremations with Rev. Tommy Rawlings officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
