Betty Louise (Carlton) Atkinson

Betty Louise Carlton Atkinson, 83, of New London, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Montgomery Village in Star.

Born July 20, 1940, in West Virginia, she was a daughter to the late Walter Howard Carlton and the late Nellie Myers Carlton.

She is survived by her husband, “J C” Atkinson, of the home; daughters, Robin Douglas and husband, Mike of Sophia, Lynn Hope and husband, Steve of Archdale; brother, Paul Carlton and wife Dora of Thomasville; grandchildren, Joseph Douglas, Logan Freeman and husband, Justin; great grandchildren, Harper Lee Freeman and River June Freeman.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Badin Shores Chapel with Pastor Brad Garrigues officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Randolph County.
