Randel and Mabel Lucy Peirce Randel of Mount Vernon, NY and William Elmer Stutts and Martha Walter Stutts of Ravenna, Ohio. She graduated from Sylvania High School as well as Miami University with a BA degree in Zoology, where she was treasurer of the Chi Omega sorority and vice president of the Marlin Synchronized Swimming Club.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother William Arthur Stutts, Jr. She is survived by her brother, Walter Randel Stutts (Lin) of Easley, SC and her three daughters, Stacey Fraunfelter Tudhope (Brian) of Mt Pleasant, SC, Carrie Fraunfelter Everhart (Gary) of Greensboro, NC, and Margeaux Fraunfelter Ellington (Jacob) of Sullivans Island, SC. Aside from being a devoted stay at home mother to her girls for many years, including but not limited to being a Girl Scout troop leader and a forever cheerleader on the sidelines of numerous tennis matches, soccer games, and swim and gymnastics meets, she also enjoyed tennis, swimming, reading, puzzles, and good music.

Her greatest joy in life has always been her children and dear grandchildren, for whom she thrice battled breast cancer.

Stutts was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend and neighbor and will be most remembered for her kindness, laughter and easygoing demeanor.

A celebration of life will be held at the home of Carrie and Gary Everhart on October 12th 2 o’clock to 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

A private family gathering will be held in Charleston, SC thereafter as she so much loved being close to the sea.
