Barbara Sue (Owens) Simmons

Barbara Sue Owens Simmons, 83, of High Point, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021, at The Meridian Center.

Born June 9, 1937, in Stokes County, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow David Owens and the late Sarah Frances Slate Owens. Mrs. Simmons was a retired scale house operator with the city of High Point.

She is survived by her son, Gary Simmons and wife Tammy of Thomasville; daughter, Regina Lineback of Welcome; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Bobby Simmons; sons, Steven Simmons and Bobby Simmons.

Burial will be private at Jessup Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Pilot Mountain.
