Barbara Gail Clippard, 84, of High Point, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 1, 2024, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Born May 17, 1940, in Alexis, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Fred Roe Clippard and the late Noveda Randall Clippard. Barbara was a retired Registered Nurse in the medical field. She spent many years working in the Intensive Care Unit at Moses Cone Hospital and the Evergreens Nursing home in Greensboro, NC. She was very proud of the fact that she spent many years in the service of her fellow man. She had many friends that she met throughout her career and maintained cherished relationships with long after her retirement. Upon retirement she spent several years volunteering for Hospice. She was a member of a quilting group that provided quilts to children's hospitals and other charitable organizations. The friends she made through quilting were extremely dear to her. She loved and was very proud of her entire family.
She is survived by her daughter, Scarlett Hare Lewis; son, William Henry Hare, III (Kelly); sisters Anne Spargo (Bob), Clara Keener (Marvin); brother Kerry Clippard, Sr.; grandsons Garrett Armstrong (Rochelle), Charlie Truby, Henry McCain, granddaughters, Caitlin McCain, Natalie Truby; great-grandchildren Marley Armstrong, Elli Armstrong, Lolo Armstrong, Addy Armstrong; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a loving and caring daughter, Deana Hare Truby; sister Thelma Clippard Bradshaw; and brothers Eural and Buck Clippard.
No services are planned at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
